Memes & internet: three ways to start
Original ideas, a practical comedy tip and discussion prompts for Memes & internet. No imaginary crowd required.
What belongs in this category?
Fast-moving internet jokes and surreal formats, grouped without turning every trend into permanent taxonomy.
This is an official SlopOff idea sheet, not a member post or an open competition. A live Battle or competition will have its own entry page and rules.
Three original starting points
Timeline Damage — Rebuild the joke using your own media.
Context Not Found — Keep it instantly legible and completely inexplicable.
Relatable, Unfortunately — Make a universal tiny failure much too dramatic.
Make the joke land
Borrow the rhythm of an internet joke, then rebuild the picture and wording with your own original material.
Try a single setup, one escalation and a payoff that reads on a phone. Make or upload your own eligible media; public display follows rights and moderation review.
